Yesterday's Values, Today's Technology, Tomorrow's Solutions

our company

Greetings from Gail and Casey!

  • Gail is the Vice President of Operations.
  • Casey is the Founder and President of Re:

These are some of the awards we've won – the Canadian Call Management Association's Award of Excellence (which we’re proud to say we’ve been awarded every year for more than 12 years running!), the Tom Ryan Award for Ethics, Integrity, and Service Above All (we’re really tickled about that one!), and the Consumers' Choice Award (which is very special because it’s awarded by our customers!).

Re: at work

  • The overriding philosophy at Re: can be summed up in one word – respect. Respect for customers, respect for employees, respect for people as unique individuals with unique circumstances and needs.
  • Demonstrating that philosophy everyday has given Re: a distinct advantage. It starts with a very low employee turnover rate. That means our messaging agents have years of on the job experience and that means we can deliver the highest quality of service.
  • Now if you’re wondering why you’ve never heard about us before, that might be because we changed our name! When the company was founded in 1980 it was called Fraser Valley Teleserve Ltd. With our expansion of services and the markets we serve, we grew out of that moniker and in 2004, and Re: Messaging Solutions Inc. was born!
  • Back in the old days, messages were hand written. We wanted to remember those times and the values that our company was founded and built on. We also want people to know that we’ve kept up with the amazing technological changes that have occurred over the past 20 years, and that we work hard to stay on top of our customers’ changing needs. So, that’s why our company credo is Yesterday’s Values • Today’s Technology • Tomorrow’s Solutions!

Re: in the community

  • Casey and Gail Smit both strongly believe that it’s important to get involved and give back to the community. Casey has been a member of Rotary since 1988. Rotary is an international service club that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005. You can find out more about Rotary International at www.rotary.org and more about the Rotary Club of Abbotsford at www.abbotsfordrotary.com. Casey has also served as President of the Upper Fraser Valley Developmental Preschool Society and of the Canadian Call Management Association, of which Re: Messaging Solutions Inc. is a member.
  • Gail’s work in the community is being felt around the globe. She is an active member of a very special group called the KindActs Network Association of BC. Gail, along with Nadine Marshall, founded a new program for KindActs that helps schools deal with bullying and other forms of youth violence. The very successful "Coin-spiracy" program has become known internationally for both its positive effects on children and the humanitarian service that it generates. • At work or in the community, for Casey and Gail, people always come first. They have built Re: Messaging Solutions into a win-win-win business where both their staff and their customers are appreciated, treated with respect, and provided with what they need to be the best that they can be. And keeping their business profitable and growing means that they can give back to the communities that support them.
